Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in Chicago. Now I'm a securities analyst in Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent graduate of BYU in Economics, Mathematics, and Business. I'm currently working as a securities analysts and preparing for my MBA. I love to play all kinds of sports (basketball, baseball, skiing, etc.) I also love to dance, perform magic, sing, and play guitar. My wife and I love to travel and love watching movies and random tv shows. We can be found singing, hiking, and generally just having a good time with whatever activity we decide to do.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel brings joy into my life. I have found that the fruits of following the gospel are joy and lasting happiness. I know that when I do what my Heavenly Father wants me to do, I am a better friend, sibling, and husband. Beyond the power of my testimony that I know our Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ, live and love us is the simple truth that the gospel brings faith and hope into my life. By knowing that our Father has a plan for us, I am at peace with the troubles around me and can find hope in Him. The blessings of the gospel are not just spiritual, but also temporal. As one follows the gospel, even only as an experiment in faith, they will find that their lives will improve accordingly. I have felt it in my life and seen it in action in the transformation of others' lives as well.

How I live my faith

I think the best way I live my faith is by helping others and being a true follower, or disciple, of Christ. In short, I try to live my life in a way that would make Him proud. I also live my faith by participating in my ward. I play the organ on Sundays, and I also help teach the young men. Sometimes I also sing with our choir or give special solos. I also try to be a good neighbor and a friend to those in need.
