Hi I'm Ali

I'm a wife, a mom, a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I stay home with my kids. My husband and I like to travel. Sometime we take little trips to other parts of the state, or drive a few states away on a little adventure. We've taken a few big ones to Costa Rica and Alaska. I love to hang out with friends. I have some girlfriends I craft with, some I exercise with, and my husband I like to host game nights. I think everything is better with a buddy. My kids are getting bigger, and we are at the start of getting to really enjoy the sidelines. Our oldest daughter is doing some team sports at school and we're getting to see her spread her wings a little. That is pretty awesome. We are sure in for some big adventures with our kids. They are not shy and like to be in the mix.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has answered all the tricky questions for me: Who am I? What is the meaning of life? What should I do with my life? Having those things clear has allowed me to really embrace life. I don't wonder how to raise my family, or why life can totally stink sometimes. I KNOW. That clarity brings peace. My Heavenly Father knows me, loves me, and I know, through this church, how to live a life that will get me home to Him.

How I live my faith

Every day for me is just a step on a path I've chosen. I get to teach my kids about being honest, about make choices with integrity, about joy, and love. I visit my neighbors. I volunteer at my kids school. I take meals to people who are sick. Christ taught about love. The best way for me to show that I understand His love is to treat all those I know the way I think Christ would. At Church, I serve in the presidency of our women's organization. I teach on Sundays once in a while, and set up activites once a month or so for the ladies to get together to socilaize and learn some new skills. This may be one of my favorite things about the church...so many opportunities to learn new things, and be a part of each other's learning process.
