Hi I'm Kaye

I'm a wife, a mother of two, grandmother of two (with one more on the way), Administrative Assistant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived the first eight years of my life in Columbia, SC. Our family then moved to Utah where I eventually met and married my husband and gave birth to our first child, my daughter. We then moved to Seattle where I had my son and raised our family. I've been married to my husband for 27 years. We have two beautiful children, a daughter and a son. My daughter is the mother of my two grandchildren and she is expecting her third child. My son is on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My family is my most precious possession. I enjoy spending time with my husband in the mountians or beaches of Pacific Northwest taking photos of nature in all it's splendor. Photographing the beauty of nature is very soothing and relaxing to me. I treasure my children and grandchildren and the wonderful relationship I have with them. Nothing can equal the site and sound of your grandchild running into your arms and calling "Grandma!" I stayed home from work outside the home for the first 19 years of our marriage. When I did go to work I worked part time so I could be home when my children came home from school. I now work full time (for the same company I started with many years ago) as an administrative assistant to the owners of the company. My favorite job titles are "Mom" and "Grandma"

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They taught me the principles of the gospel from birth. I can't tell you the exact date that I knew this was the only true church on the earth. My testimony grew slowly as my parents taught me, I attended church and seminary, prayed daily, read the scriptures, and tried to live my life in a Christ like manner. I know my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives. I know he willingly gave his life so that if I repent of my sins and partake of the gift of the atonement I can return to live with Him. I enjoy reading the scriptures and learning about the lives of prophets and apostles like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Elijah, Peter, Paul, Nephi, Alma, Mormon, Joseph Smith, etc. I learn so much from their lives; such as how they overcame their trials and the truths of the gospel that were taught through their writings. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. I'm thankful that Joseph Smith had the faith to pray and ask questions of God that spring morning. What a wealth of knowledge was bestowed on mankind from Joseph's inquiries for our eternal benefit.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and strive to serve in the church to the best of my ability. In my years of service I have taught children from 18 months to 18 years of age. I currently teach Sunday School to the 14-18 year olds. I spent many years volunteering in the local school district. I enjoyed getting to know so many children and being of assistance to the teachers. I have spent most of my years of church service and community service in teaching children. Living my faith is more than just attending church every Sunday. I try to live my life in a Christ like manner such as in the teachings of the Sermon on Mount in Matthew and Luke of the New Testament. I also try to exemplify the Thirteenth Article of Faith in my daily life; "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
