Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a wife and mother of 2 wonderful children. A teacher's aide and a Cub Scout Leader. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to a wonderful, sweet man for 17 years. We have been very blessed with a son who is now 11 and a daughter who is 8. I work part time as a teacher's aide for autistic children and enjoy working with these sweet spirits. My son also has mild autism and he has taught me so much and is such an amazing young man. We almost lost him when he was born but I know through the grace of God, he was able to survive and be with us and so grateful to Heavenly Father for both of my children. I'm also a Cub Scout Leader and love my calling and love working with these awesome boys who are so much fun. I like to scrapbook when I have the time and I love to read. My dream is to one day write a book and be published. I love spending time with my husband and children and enjoy having the occasional "Girls Night Out" with my sweet friends. I am grateful to be born in the USA and grateful for the freedoms that we have and for the opportunity to attend church every Sunday and to partake of the Sacrament and to learn more of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so grateful the Gospel of Jesus Christ was brought to me at such a young age and my parents and older brother joined the Mormon Church when I was 6 years old. I wanted so much to be baptized but I had to wait 2 more years. My family was Catholic before and both my mother's and father's families are devout Catholics. My mother's younger sister joined the Mormon Church a few years before and sometimes she would take me to church with her. I noticed a huge difference when I attended the Mormon church with my aunt. I felt a great sense of peace and the Spirit was so strong and even at such a young age I knew that this was Christ's church. The Mormon Church has been such a huge blessing in my life. I grew up in a dysfunctional family where there was a lot of verbal, emotional and sometimes physical abuse. I noticed when my family did live the Gospel there was a sense of peace in our home and we were happier. But there were many times when we would slip back into the dysfunctional behavior. But I am grateful for the Leaders of our church who would help me and my family and gave me a sense of hope and encouragement and love. I know the Lord was looking out for me and sent these wonderful people into my life and they were such a great example to me. I am also grateful for the friends I made in the church and their families for being such a wonderful example to me. I knew this was the kind of family I wanted to have someday and I knew if I lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I could have this kind of family of my own one day. And now I do. We strive everyday to do our best. We pray as a family and read the scriptures. And there is peace and happiness in our home. We are not perfect but we are functioning. One of the great things I have learned from the Gospel is the miracle of forgiveness and what it has taught me. I have felt such great peace and love because I have forgiven my parents.

How I live my faith

Since joining the church I have been privileged to be part of great programs for our youth and to be taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout my youth. Now I have been able to also teach the Gospel to children and also to the women of our church. I am grateful to also serve the women and their families in our church and to be able to help them. I love the Gospel and my Savior, Jesus Christ and love to share this with others. I am so grateful to have a loving and kind Heavenly Father and I know He is always there and looking out for us.
