Hi I'm Roxanne

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and most important a child of a loving Heavenly Father. I am also a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for over forty years. Most of our seven children are married and so we are enjoying the senior part of our lives. I love senior discounts. It feels like you’re being congratulated. Our family and church activities top the list as far as things I enjoy doing. For me there’s nothing better than feeling the love of a family member and the love of our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

My husband introduced me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, but when I was young my mom introduced me to knowing the importance of having religion in my life. Every Sunday I would attend a church so I gained an appreciation for many beliefs. I remember thinking in my teenage years if people are Christians then why are there so many different beliefs? Shouldn’t Christ’s gospel be today as it was when He first organized it? As I got to know my husband (then boyfriend) and the Mormon beliefs better I recognized my question had an answer. This church baring Christ’s name is organized in the same way Christ organized His church while He was on earth. My mom always thought all roads lead to Heaven, but I have come to believe if that were true Christ wouldn’t have spent the time while he was here organizing His church.

How I live my faith

God, family, and life is the order I look at things. I think service is important and I hope I am an example of my beliefs. In the last few years I’ve recognized the importance of gathering. My husband and I have had the opportunity to travel to and live in different countries as we and other family members have served as missionaries. Everywhere we’ve been we’ve seen that people are more alike than different. Through technology and travel I believe our Father in Heaven is allowing each of us to recognize just how small our world is. As we gather more and more recognizing our oneness we are able to know that we are His children, and His goal is to gather us back to Him through His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. I hope after you read this you will investigate more about the Mormon religion and hopefully recognize as I do that each one of us is a child of God and He loves us.
