Hi I'm Bailey

I've been a member my whole life. Christ is the center of my life, He can be yours too. :)

About Me

I am a full time college student with a life full of this Gospel. He is amazing and it doesn't matter what has occurred in my life, through Him I have been blessed to overcome any trial or stumbling block set in my path. I love Jesus Christ and I love Heavenly Father. And there is nothing sweeter than knowing that I am never, ever alone.

Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS because I know that my life is so much better when I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and when I listen to our prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I choose to still be a member every single day because I know in my heart and mind and soul that this church holds the most truth. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God...and I believe in the Bible with everything I have, as far as it is translated correctly.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being valiant. No matter what, I hold my standards. Jesus Chris, and our Heavenly Father, are the two most loving, and giving people and this is one sure thing I can depend on in an unsure world. I know that life is not easy, no matter what religion you are, and by joining the LDS church it doesn't mean that your problems will disappear...it simply means that you had, and have the faith to go through the trials, and tribulations...and still believe in God, and Jesus, and that they still love you.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Bailey
It is true that Jesus Christ appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon. In 2 Nephi 29:8, it says "Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember on nation like unto another?" and in 2 Nephi 29:9 "I am the same yesterday, today and forever." So does it not make sense that God would send His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ to North America, as well? Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Bailey
A testimony is a firm belief of what you know to be absolutely true concerning Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit. It is not something that can be held in your hands, but kept in your heart. When we stand and bear (share) our tesimonies, it is showing our faith and love for God and Christ. It isn't easy to stand in front of people and speak what you believe, but through the Spirit it becomes simple in the light that Christ is our Savior and the only thing we need to do is declare that to the world! We know that Christ lives, and that He carried out the Atonement for us so that we can live with Him eternally. A testimony is based on 5 simple truths: Christ lives as the Son of God, He died for us also. Jesus Christ prepared and carried out the Atonement so that we too can have eternal life. Joseph Smith is a true prophet that restored the fulness of God's gospel upon the earth, called of God. We have living prophets today that speak to us and teach us how to become closer to our Heavenly Father. And lastly, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's true church on the earth, restored, today. A testimony is not the same for everyone, but it is based upon the same things for everyone. I believe this to be the most true thing out of everything I know. Show more Show less
