Hi I'm Bailee

I'm a student, I'm a Texan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm serving in the Japan Fukuoka mission until December 2017. I have the opportunity to share the truthfulness of the restored gospel for eighteen months. I love the selflessness of the Japanese people and I'm so grateful to learn from them. Before my mission I attended Brigham Young University where I studied International Relations with an emphasis on the Middle East. I've truly enjoyed learning about the Middle Eastern culture through the people, the history, and the language. I love sports! So much! I focused on swimming and water polo in high school, but I also love running, volleyball, basketball, pole-vaulting, tennis, dance, football, surfing, golf, gymnastics, and soccer. I'm not that great at all of them but they're still so fun. I also enjoy using music to pass the time. Whether I'm making it or listening to it, music is always a good time. More than anything I love my family and the gospel! I'm the oldest of seven kids and it's been quite an adventure. We turn up the music and dance around the house together. We make each other chocolate-covered strawberries and watch our favorite shows together. We play music together. We play sports together. Most importantly we pray and study the scriptures together. I'm so grateful I can be with them forever. I love them so much. My parents have taught me to love others and to love my Savior. And now I'm sharing that love with the people of Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this is Christ's church restored on the earth. I'm so grateful to know this truth!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following my Savior. I do this by studying His word through the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon and the words of modern-day prophets. I strive to apply this word so that I can be more like my Savior. The gift of the Holy Ghost gives me the strength and guidance I need to do this. I live my faith by the loving Jesus Christ and loving all my brothers and sisters as Jesus would and does.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are such inspirations to me! My mother, for example, is one of the most selfless, hard-working people I know. She has raised me alongside my father in love and diligence so that I can be the best woman I am meant to be. We work alongside our brethren to build the kingdom of God. As a Mormon woman I can testify of the power given to women and I'm so grateful to be a part of Heavenly Father's work. Heavenly Father loves His daughters so much. He wants us to be good and kind and nurturing to all those we come in contact with. In turn, He has promised to give us that He has. Our divine potential is great, even infinite. Show more Show less
