Hi I'm J.T. Gillespie

I was born and raised here in Arizona. Enjoy spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband to a wonderful woman who I love and cherish. We have one little girl who makes us smile every day. I am an enthusiast of anything that has to do with hunting, sports or adventure. I grew up going to the lake with my family, wakeboarding and waterskiing, played multiple sports in high school and today enjoy participating in triathlons. I was taught to work hard by great parents and enjoy working to provide the best life I can for my family and to support my many diverse hobbies. I enjoy real estate, mostly residential, and love to see the transformation of either a piece of dirt to a beautiful home, or an old run down home being remodeled into a piece of art where someone can live with their family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of the church when I was born so I grew up learning the teachings and going to church every Sunday. I grew up with Mormon and non Mormon friends alike and we all enjoyed each others company even though we all had different beliefs. I grew to know through experience of living the teachings of the church and following the example and teachings of my parents that the Church is true. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he suffered, died and was resurrected for me and that it is up to me to live by his example. I know that I am nowhere near perfect and struggle with myself and my short comings on a daily basis and that is why I am so grateful for the Christ. I know that the church that Jesus formed when he was on the earth was restored through Joseph Smith and came to know this through prayer and study of the Book of Mormon. My beliefs shape who I am and how I try to live my life. I had an opportunity to serve a mission in Guatemala where I learned a new language and had the opportunity to share the blessings and teachings of the church with many and got to see how it changed their lives and bring great happiness through the struggle of changing their lives to live according to the teachings of Christ and his church here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping others whenever I can whether it be simply standing at the door a little longer to hold it open for someone or helping someone clean up their home that has been unable to do so for many years. I currently help with the eleven year old boys in my area where we participate as Boy Scouts. Every Wednesday night we meet to discuss and teach the boys how to be prepared not only for outdoor activities and emergencies but also everyday life emergencies and try to teach and lead by example as to how to be good citizens and serve others at all times.
