Hi I'm Wendy

I'm a wife. I'm a teacher. I love to hike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I don't like talking about myself much, but I do like myself. I spend most of my time thinking about the next lesson that I am going to teach to my "rowdy" 8th graders. I love history and am in my dream job teaching American History. I love it so much because it is like doing my own family history. It is so much fun talking to kids who are starting to make their own life decissions about freedoms that our great country has. Along with my job, I balance a home life. My husband of 18 months is the best thing that has happened in my life. We spend a lot of time together talking, watching TV, hanging out with friends, eating, exercising, and just being together. Those are my favorite parts of the day. We hope to have children soon. I can't wait to be a mother and see my husband be a father. Any spare time I get I am outside finding some mountain, peak or trail to conquer. Heavenly Father has made such a beautiful world for us to enjoy. I LOVE Him so much for it and I know He LOVES me so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for so many reasons. Being Mormon makes me happy. I truely find happiness in my life when I live by the principles taught. My parents are both Mormon and so are their parents, in fact my ancestory goes 8 generations back into Mormons. Even though my family is Mormon I made the decision for myself to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that it is true. I feel that Spirit testify to me each day that Heavenly Father is real. That He loves me and provided a Savior so that I could learn to be perfect from His example. I am far from perfect, but I am thankful for the Atonement that makes it possible for me to be forgiven of my wrong doings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith because I know that God loves me. He provides opportunities for me to serve. By serving I come closer to my Savior. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I spend my time fellowshiping with other members on Sunday and other days of the week. One Sunday each month I teach the women a principle of the gospel as I am led by the Spirit. Each Wednesday I spend time with the Cub Scouts. What fun we have. I find other ways to live my faith by praying morning and night. Attending the temple where we make covenants with God. I am kind to others. I am not perfect, but I feel that when I follow the priciples of the gospel I am closer. I am thankful for my membership in His church.
