Hi I'm Jared

I live in Arizona. I am a husband and father. I work in the education industry and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to watch and play sports, watch movies with my wife, swim, play games and just spend time with my wife and 3 children. Some favorite things I have done with my wife are completing a marathon and hiking the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. I also enjoy listening to several types of music. I have completed my undergraduate degree, an MBA and enjoy learning new things. I have worked in the education industry for the past 11 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been fortunate to have the gospel my whole life. Even though I grew up in the church, I gained a testimony of the truth of the gospel through prayer as a teenager. As I have prayed to my Father in Heaven, His spirit has confirmed to me that He lives and His son, Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. I have also come to know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and translated the Book of Mormon and that we have a living prophet to lead and guide us today. As I have lived and taught the principles of the gospel, I have gained peace and seen blessings too numerous to count. I know that through Heavenly Father's plan, we can be together forever as families. That knowledge brings me great happiness and motivation to be a better husband and father. The more I live His gospel, the more I see the hand of God in my life and the world around us. I know that he loves us and knows each one of us individually. I know He listens to our prayers and wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

One of the most important ways I live my faith is to provide for the needs of my family and teach them the principles of the gospel. I also live my faith by providing service in my community whenever I can. Every fifth Sunday, our family gets to prepare and serve food at a soup kitchen. I find great satisfaction when I can help someone in need. For over the past year, I have been called to teach the adults in church. I have enjoyed this opportunity as it helps me focus my study of the scriptures in preparation to teach the class. This preparation has also strengthened my testimony of the Savior as I see how the different books of scripture testify of his life and mission. Another calling I have is to watch over two families in my neighborhood. I get to share gospel messages with them and help them in any way they may need.
