Hi I'm Sue

I'm a recreational athlete. I have my own power tools and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, a mother, a mother-in-law and a grandma. I have always enjoyed being active physically. I recently finished my second triathlon sprint. I do a fair amount of hiking and I try to go snowshoeing at least once a year with my friends. I have a college degree in secondary education and PE coaching. I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. I also enjoy making and listening to music. I like to learn, read, create, build and grow things. I really do have my own power tools -- and I use them :) Oh, and I like chocolate too!

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormons so I grew up in a home with Christian beliefs and lifestyle. When I was 14 I decided I needed to know for myself that the Mormon Church was true. I read the Book of Mormon and I prayed to ask if it was true. I received an answer to my prayers that it was true. I like the peace and pure joy that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to my life and to the life of my family. I also like knowing that I am a Daughter of God and that He loves me.

How I live my faith

I have had many different opportunities to teach and serve others. Since I was a teenager, I have accompanied many choirs and singing groups. I was a missionary in Chile, South America for 18 months. I have taught classes to children, youth and adults. Sometimes I get to speak at church on Sundays or play the organ at a funeral. Often I get the chance to take a homemade meal to a family who is coping with a tough situation in their life. We have social and sporting events at church too. Almost all of the church buildings have a gym inside with basketball hoops and equipment to set up for volleyball and other activities. We have dinners and parties and all kinds of youth activites and games. We have a lot of fun!!!
