Hi I'm Kris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an at home dad with two teenage girls. I have Muscular Dystrophy and work from home doing accounting. This affords me the opportunity to be in my kids lives while helping to support the family.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my parents took us to many Christian churchs looking for the church take they felt welcome. After years of looking, we stopped going to churchs until one of my younger brother's friends invited us to an LDS youth activity. The missionaries taught us the lessons and the feeling that was there in those lessons confirmed to me that this was the correct church. The teaching of how Heavenly Father loves us, how we lived with him before we were born, how Christ came down to redeem us and how we can live with Him again through our works and Christ's grace made tremendous sense. The miricles I have had in my own life have confirmed that decision I made over 30 years ago to be baptized. In 1999 I had pnemonia and was code blue for 20 minutes in the hospital. They informed my wife that I would probably have major brain damage due to the lack of oxygen for so long. She called members of our ward and had two men come and gave me a blessing of health. Within a week I was leaving the hospital without any signs of damage and still today am as intellectually quick as ever. I lookforward to Sunday and being able to serve those in our church and Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try and give back to our community through my talents. I serve on the high school orchestra board at my oldest daughters school. I assist families with organizing their finances when they ask for assistance. And I serve as a secretary in our church for the older men. I also serve as a financial clerk for our church.
