Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a law student, a husband, a dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm a law student, just starting my first year. My wife and I have been married for nearly 5 years, and we have a little two-year-old boy. Since I was about 13 or 14, I have always been into music. I play the guitar, and I've played in a few different rock bands since high school. I love extreme sports and watching the X-games. Whenever I can get outdoors, I really enjoy it. I'm also a pretty avid college football fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a dad, and my favorite thing right now is, after we read a book, Kalvin (my 2 year-old) kneels down with my wife and I at the edge of his crib to say family prayers. I love to hear the things he's grateful for, like his grandparents, stuffed animals and blanky. I know that all that we have in this life is given to us by our Heavenly Father. One of the things that I am most grateful for is the knowledge that, through the promises I have made with the Lord, and through the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ, I can live with my family throughout all eternity, not just until death. That is one of the many principles that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches that brings peace to me and my family

How I live my faith

As a law student, I don't have a whole lot of spare time. But with the time I have, I try to make sure that it is time well spent with my wife and little boy. I have had the blessing of being able to teach young people in the church principles and truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that helped me make right choices at their age. As a family, we always try to make sure we are active in church meetings and functions, and as we do, our faith is strengthened and our family unity, along with the unity we feel within the church, grows.

Are Mormons Christians?

Tyler
Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. He has paid for the sins of all of us, and as a mormon, I absolutely worship him. Christ is the center of all the church's teachings, and all of the principles that we learn as mormons allow us to become closer to Him. So, to answer the question, yes, mormons are Christians.
