Hi I'm Kara

I'm a wife and mother of 5 who loves to relax with a good book, write in my blog, bake, and talk to friends whenever I can.

About Me

I spend most of my time helping nurture the future generation. I am married and have 5 beautiful children. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Business. I teach a church class for women one Sunday a month. I love to cook good food for whoever is in our home (so come on over if you don't mind a few toys on the floor!) I love to read whatever I can get my hands on, write my blog when I get the chance, snow skii when the snow is good, decorate my house and be with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was a young child I could feel the peace that surrounded me when l was taught the precepts of the gospel. I continue to feel that peace daily as I turn to the Lord in prayer. I know that this church is true because I have prayed and felt the power of God's love testifying to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. Within Christ's true church I can find the answers to all of life's difficult questions or problems. I can look to a living prophet for guidance and receive personal revelation from Heavenly Father. I do not have to face the changing world with fear but with hope and peace because I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day with mostly the small stuff. Saying prayers, reading scriptures, nurturing children, serving my friends and neighbors, and being a teacher at church. Living with charity and love for those around you can bring light to your little piece of the world. I try to let the light of Christ shine through me to others so they can feel a little warmth, even if it may be for a short time. It may only be in the form of a meal or kind word, but I think the world needs more of that. . . and by that I mean love! I truly enjoy the opportunities for service the church provides. In the past I have been able to organize summer camps for teenage girls and be a secretary in the presidency of the children's organization in our area. Currently I am teaching a class for women and I love it. Giving service truly lifts the person who is giving as well as the person receiving.
