Hi I'm Jeff

I love to play ultimate frisbee and DDR. I graduated in psychology and am currently studying physical therapy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am finishing up some classes to start physical therapy school. I love to have fun. My favorite things to play include ultimate frisbee, basketball, football, DDR, NBA JAM, Mario Bros, forbidden bridge, cranium hoopla and capture the flag. I am married and we have a pet rabbit and two fish. My wife and I love to camp and hang out in nature. I currently work at a physical therapy clinic as an aide. I studied psychology as an under gaduate and I went to graduate school in social psychology. I published a paper on conformity in everyday life and another paper that was a meta-analysis regarding commitment manipulations and environmental behaviors. I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters and I am the youngest of them all. My parents currently live in Lisbon Portugal and will move back to the United states in a while. My favorite movies are cloudy with a chance of meatballs and Batman the Dark Knight. I think that Batman is the greatest superhero ever, especially since he has no super powers and still does awesome stuff.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon but there were many moments in my life that helped me to know that what I believed really was true. The strongest conversion for me was simply the fact that as I lived the commandments of God I found that life was incredibly happy. Why would I stop living the commandments if they made me so happy? As time went on I was able to pray about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith and I received an answer from God that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I continue to happily live the gospel and it is certainly the best part of my life, especially since hard times can hit us all. My wife and my faith are the only unchanging constants that bring me true peace.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in my area. Specifically I teach the 12 and 13 year old boys about Jesus Christ and his gospel. I also go to activities each week with the boys 12-16 where we have pool parties, or do community service, or participate in scouting, or camp and other such things. I get together with other mormon's all the time and we have fun playing games and making donuts and watching football. We have other friends that are not mormon's as well and they hang out with us. I love to have fun and it is great to have friends to get together with and talk and laugh and go a little crazy without needing any drugs or alcohol. Fun is good enough to make you feel like you are on a high. I also work a lot with the missionaries in teaching other people about what we believe. Our faith really is simple and surprises people who think it is a weird cult. I love being a mormon. We are like a big family that isn't afraid to have good, clean fun.
