Hi I'm Kathy

I love gardening, sewing, and dancing. I have 30 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. Hobbies and past times include: studying the scriptures, gardening, sewing, jogging, books, home decorating, crafts, ballroom dancing, flower arranging, having friends over for social parties, cooking and giving service to others. I grew up on a farm in central Calif. I was married for 34 years and had six children with my late husband. He passed away at the age of 56 yrs. from a sudden heart attack. I was blessed to remarry. My wonderful, loving commpanion has 3 daughters and with our blended family we enjoy 30 grandchildren. The bond and close relationship we develop with our family is one of the truest ways we experience happiness and joy.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always been an anchor in my life. Because of challenges in my childhood the church gave me strengh, hope and direction. Despite being a member most of my life I still needed to know for myself that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true. After much prayer, fasting and studying I was blessed to know for myself by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Gospel has been restored in these latter days. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. It is another witness of Jesus Christ. We have a living prophet today who is Thomas S. Monson. This knowledge gives me strength, hope and the assurance that we have a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers our prayers. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ lives and has paved the way for us to return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in our organization for women. I visit the sick to cheer and bless their lives. Help those in need by offering services of meals or general family support. Teach and offer help in homemaking skills. Offer leadership training and skills through workshops and activities.
