Hi I'm Naomi

I am an artist and musician. I have seven siblings and grew up on a small farm. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am number seven in a family of eight and the eighth is my little sister. I have fourteen nieces and nephews that are alway's entertaining. Growing up we had one bathroom and no dishwasher. Life was never boring:) I love to draw, paint, read fantasy, and write. I am way big on adventure and have always wanted to go sky diving. Though if you asked me to meet a new person my age I'd be scared out of my mind. I am a Senior at SHS and had been homeschool for three years, 6th through 9th. I love watching movies, camping, and eating ice cream without nuts and most any kind of chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

Without the gospel in my life I know I would be a lost and in the dark. It is not something I remember once a week. It's how I live my life every minute of every day. Every time I really stop and think about the Gospel, I feel a literal warmth in my chest, growing and giving me such a feeling of peace. I'm a mormon because I know that that feeling is real. It has made all the difference in my life. I have seen the way people are without the gospel and it makes me cry. life is so good when you know God's plan and God's love for you. I'm a mormon because I have had many times in my life when I've received a witness to the truthfulness of the church and of God's love for me. I have learned to recognize God's hand in my life, and choosing to see that has made all the difference.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I love the way I feel when I do, and love the people I do it for and with. Every Wednesday I go to a youth activity night and do fun activities with others my age. We've had beach trips, movie nights, game nights, cooking, and have had laughable and memorable times with each other. I go to church every Sunday and partake of the sacrament. When I do this, I renew the covenants, or promises, I have made with God. ( like my baptismal promises) I listen closely to the speakers and then I go to my class and learn about the teachings of Christ, in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. They are both amazing books! Then I go to Young Women's. The youth 12 to 18 go to either Young Mens or Young Women's, when the adults go to their own certain classes. I have been taught so many wonderful and meaningful things in that class. I love my teachers and all of the girls in there. After church I am ready to face the week at school. I get to teach, serve and learn with other girls. It is one place that I can serve each week. Sometimes I am just listening to lessons but other times I am teaching or helping plan activities. It is all part of helping me to grow in the knowledge of Christ and in the knowledge of my individual worth and value.... After church I'm ready to face the week and all the challenges everyday life can bring!
