Hi I'm Sheldon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Arizona. My fondest memories as a child were spent playing outside in washes, canyons, and rivers. We had chickens and goats. My parents had very little. I remember my mom would add coco to our oatmeal to add some variety to our breakfast. As an adult I think having so very little as a child has helped me to be more grateful for what I have as an adult.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but there was a time in my life as a teenager when I would often ask myself if I believed all the things I had been taught as a child. Inside I knew it was true. One day a teacher of mine said "When you say your prayers tonight I want you to ask the Heavenly Father if Joseph Smith is a true prophet." I didn't think much of his request as I felt that I knew the church was true. Regardless I did as he directed me to do. The answer was surprisingly powerful. The answer I received that day on my knees in prayer is now the foundation of everything I do in my life.

How I live my faith

I love sharing the gospel with others. Even though not everyone excepts my invitations it still feels really good to share with others the truths that have helped shape my life.
