Hi I'm Richard

Husband, Father of 6, Grandfather of 12. Bishop for a Seattle YSA ward. Wood crafter. Financial VP. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was reared in Bountiful, UT as the oldest child of four (2 brothers and 1 sister). I served a mission to the British South Mission. Graduated from the University of Utah in accounting. I met my wife on a blind date in college. We've been married for 39 years. We raised our six kids in Seattle, WA. I love being with my 12 grandchildren. Current hobbies include golfing with my brothers, making wood working projects with the scroll saw and visiting my children in California, Utah and Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at age 8 and have always been a member of the Church, I have always felt that the church was true. But my testimony really increased as I experienced teaching and serving as a missionary in Great Britain for two years. My testimony continues to grow as I pray and study the Bible and Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a Bishop of Young Single Adult ward in Seattle, which means I lead a group of singles age 18-30 years old. I lead the Sunday worship meetings and participate in weekly service projects and activities. I love seeing the members of my ward fall in love and get married in the temple. I try to be a good neighbor and friend and love my family.
