Hi I'm John

I live in the Arizona desert. I design night vision goggles for law enforcement and military use. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a little bit of a lot of things. My interests are varied and I enjoy so many things. But overall, I think I can say that I am a problem solver. I like to fix things. I like to create things. If there has been anything in my life that needs working on, I like to do it - to really get into it and make it happen. Everything from painting pictures to raising backyard chickens. From home construction and renovation to designing websites. And from tuning pianos to writing parables. It's a mess, I know. I am all over the place. My life has a been a ride that has allowed me to experience a little bit of a lot of things. And my latest work has been a team effort with my wife. We are raising a family of four. And it's beautiful.

Why I am a Mormon

My mindset is one of I can do it, I can fix it, I can make it. I get excited about having a project and I love the feeling that comes from doing something right. But over the years I have learned that my greatest joy comes when applying that same "do it, fix it, create it" mindset to others. It's called help. I can't get enough of it. The Church at times seems to revolves around helping others. And I love being a part of that. But the Church serves a more personal purpose in my life as well. It is when I need to ask for help in my own life. It has been a humbling and hard lesson for me to learn - and it is one that I have had to learn it over and over. Although I love those hands-on projects where the dirt gets under my fingernails, I realize that some of the work I do is on my own life and my own heart. This is the works that seems to be the most difficult. And it is work that I I cant do by myself. These are times when I ask fort

How I live my faith

I think my faith is one in the same as my life. It shows in my work and my family and my conversation. Its how I live. Its what I believe in. Its what I do. And what I do is help. Sometimes I will find myself helping my someone packing up and move. At other times I will find myself setting up chairs and tables for a humanitarian event or picking citrus with the youth around the neighborhood for families who don't usually get the opportunity to have any. And sometimes I just am hanging out with a good group of friends who have discovered the same happiness as me. The joy that comes from helping others and the joy that comes from knowing who are greatest help is.
