Hi I'm Dan

I have lived all across America. I love the outdoors and photography. I'm a proud father and husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most importanly I am a husband and a father to four wonderful children. My family means everything to me. I love to spend time with them and enjoy the world around us. I enjoy taking them camping, canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing, backpacking and exporing. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 15 years and she is my best friend. I love to take pictures. There are several self family portraits hangin in our home. My true passion is landscape photography and I take my camera with me whereever I go. I am a soccer coach and have coached all my kids teams at one point or another. It is a fun way to spend time with kids, teach them new skills and learn the value of work and practice. I also love to watch and play sports. College Basketball is my favorite sport. I have worked in the IT industry for a concrete company. My travels have taken me to 47 of 50 states. I love to travel, meet new people and try different food in the regions I visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it feels right to me and makes sense. Being a mormon brings peace to my life and keeps me on the track I want to follow. My parents were members of the church and my family goes back in the church for several generations The gospel of Jesus Christ should be for all people everywhere in the world regardless of race, gender or age. As a mormon I believe that all of God'schildren can accept his truth and through obedience can return to live with him again after this life. The church teaches that we can repent and through Jesus' sacrafice can be forgiven of our shortcomings. Being a Mormon also helps as a parent as I can give guidelines for behaviour to my children. It gives them guidelines to live by that help them make good choices and ensure happier futures. I love that everyone in the church helps out. The church has a lay-ministery and all the clergy and teaching positions are filled voluntarily.

How I live my faith

On a weekly basis we go to church to worship and also socialize with other members of the church.  Living as a Mormon I try to teach my kids what is right and wrong. This starts at an early age and hopefully they grow into responsible youth who can make the right choice even if mom or dad aren't around. I try to read the scriptures as a family and personally. We take one night a week for family home evening. We turn off the TV and do something as a family. Sometimes it is spiritual and other times we do something fun like go to the park or go to the lake. I serve in the church where I am asked. Currently I help with the scouting program and sometimes substitute in the childrens orginization called primary. I try to conduct myself professionly in a way that would make my father in heavan proud. I work hard and do my best work to support my family
