Hi I'm Steve

I love teaching teenagers, playing and coaching football, dating my wife and hanging out with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up in Missouri in a wonderful family. All I cared about in High School was sports, especially football, so after High School I went to BYU to play football and then on a mission to London, England for two years. I loved teaching others, especially about Jesus Christ and the importance of families, so when I returned to BYU I finished up my degree in Marriage and Family. I have been teaching teenagers ever since and I love it. I am married to a Gorgeous Babe named Anne and we have six exceptionally normal kids who are active in every way. We now live in Arizona where we love being outdoors and doing things as a family. I enjoy coaching youth football, quading in the desert, sand volleyball, peanut M&M's and dating my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the mormon church, there were not a lot of mormons in Missouri. I didn't always refer to myself as a mormon. When I was a teenager I just wanted to be a "normal" kid. I wanted to have friends, I wanted to have fun, I wanted a car, a job, a girlfriend, and play sports.... I wanted to fit in, but I felt like I couldn't do any of the things my friends were doing. I couldn't drink, or party, or do "anything" on sundays. I thought being mormon was a burden. When I was 17, I started to really wonder what I was doing. I realized that I was living the way I thought other people wanted me to. I soon realized that it was important for me to be the person I wanted myself to be and I had to find out for myself what was truth... about life, about God and about being happy. I had good friends in lots of different churchs and I looked into their beliefs. I prayed for answers and felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ so that I can return to live with Him. I also felt the same truths taught in the Bible are confirmed in the Book Of Mormon and it is another witness for Jesus Christ. I realized that God used prophets in times of old to teach truth and that he has living prophets on the earth today. I know that God has a plan for all of us to be happy as we become more like Him and His Son. I know that anyone can find these same answers for themself. I am Mormon because I know it has truth that can be discovered by all that want to know for themselves.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus in every way. I live my faith by seeking to be the best husband, father and disciple of Christ I can be. I also look for opportunities to serve at church and in the community. Life is fun and full of excitement and following Gods commandments lets me live with peace, confidence and happiness.
