Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a wife and a mother. I love to travel and I enjoy photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4. 3 boys and 1 girl. My days are spent doing what stay-at-home moms do, cleaning, cooking and caring for my kids. Although it is sometimes difficult, I make sure we have fun and enjoy each other. One of the toughest times I have experienced as a mother was when when my 3rd son was born 7 weeks early. He had severe respiratory issues and continues to struggle with asthma. One of the hardest days as a mother was having to leave the hospital without him. But like some other mothers, I knew that eventually he would be able to come home. He beat the odds and made it out of the NICU after 3 weeks. I enjoy eating at restaurants, going to movies and on dates with my husband. If I could, I would be a permanent beach bum. I love taking my kids swimming. I enjoy theme parks. I use to be a pretty avid athlete enjoying basketball and softball and look forward to times when I can just fill in occasionally for a team that is missing a player. I enjoy traveling and have traveled to many different counties specifically Eastern and Western Europe. I lived in Russia as an English teacher. My husband and I enjoy road trips with our kids. I studied Marketing Communications at BYU and was a Marketing Manager before I decided to switch careers from Marketing to Mothering. I love to laugh and joke. I am very social and love getting together with friends. My new passion is photography. I love capturing the small simple moments of my children's childhood.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Many people would think that I am a Mormon because that is how I was raised. I want you to know that I have gained a testimony of my own, separate from my upbringing. I love being a Mormon. I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and I know that he loves me and has a plan for me. I know that I live on this life for specific purposes. I enjoy attending church meetings where I can be spiritually fed. I love being surrounded by so many people that have strong morals and values. I appreciate the guidance I receive from the leaders of the church and through the scriptures that help me to navigate through life. I know that when I live according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ that I am happier and live more peacefully than in times when I have not been as actively involved in the church. This difference helps me to know what true and real happiness is. Because of this, I continue to be a Mormon. I know that God knows me and loves me. I am grateful to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve as much and as often as I can as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have served in many different capacities. I currently teach the 18 and older women one time per month. These lessons are based on many different gospel principles. I really enjoy preparing lessons as it helps to spiritually feed me and also reminds me of the many wonderful principles and teaching of the gospel. Preparing these lessons help me to feel the love of my Savior and to build my relationship with him. Previous to my current calling, I was President of the women's organization in my particular area. In that calling I experienced highs and lows. I saw people leave the church and come into the church. I saw people struggle in their marriage, lose children, and I saw many success. I saw people grow in the gospel. I helped provide opportunities for families who were struggling financially to receive assistance as well as food to feed their families. I can honestly say that serving in that capacity was very tiring and trying, but also extremely fulfilling and a testimony builder. I came to better understand the love that my Heavenly Father has for me and his other children.
