Hi I'm Sarah

I work for a non-profit aiming to close the achievement gap in education. I'm an aunt. I speak Chinese and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel. I have lived in Russia, China and Taiwan and have visited Italy, Sweden and Finland. I speak Mandarin Chinese and love learning about the Chinese culture. I became a teacher in 2006 through a non profit and taught for five years in kindergarten and first grade. I now work full time for that non profit working to close the achievement gap in education.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it is where I find true happiness and peace. I know this Church is true and feel the most joy in my life when I am living according to the principles taught therein. I have felt the hand of the Lord in my life so much and am so very blessed. He has led me so many times as I have had to choices about what to do with my life. What He has led me to do has enriched my life beyond what I could have thought possible.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to work as the emergency preparedness representative in my ward. In this role I get to prepare myself as well as help others prepare for emergencies including storing food and creating emergency kits.
