Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up working for my dad. He taught me the workers' comp industry which I continue to work in today. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up working for my dad helping employers manage their workers' compensation programs. I continue in that profession today. One of the activities he got us into was riding motorcycles together as a family. It was one of the things I looked forward to doing with him and my brothers and friends on Saturday mornings. I enjoy riding ATV's with my family today. My wife and I married six years ago and have seven children together. We enjoy hiking and playing games. Recently my wife said we should do more camping as a family activity. Knowing how well I don't sleep when camping she suggested a camper. We are now the proud owners of a class c motorhome and spent this summer traveling to the mountains, the beach and lakes. It has been a great way to spend more time with the kids. I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ is a very active Church. One doesn't just come to Church for an hour on Sundays once a week and call it good. The opportunities to serve are many. Through serving together I feel like I am working to become more like our Savior. As a child I was raised in the Church, however there comes a time when one has to know for themselves that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. While preparing to go on a mission for the Church at age 19, I was touched with a realization that this more than just Church. I knew that I was going to be serving the Lord and preach His gospel. I've seen the gospel in action. I've seen people's lives change as they become members of His Church and also decide for themselves it's time to live the way the Savior lived instead of living a life for oneself. That's probably what impresses me most about my fellow members. They live a life of service within their homes and within our Ward, or Church congregation. I think that we make that choice because we recognize the real purpose of life here on earth; to raise a family that we can return to our Heavenly Father with. It is our most sacred stewardship.

How I live my faith

I try to live my Faith by staying close to the Lord with daily scripture study and prayer. This gives me the guidance I need to take care of my family and serve in Church responsibilities. I attend Church each Sunday and attend the Temple as often as I can. I avoid places and activities that might interfere with maintaining the Spirit I need to have in my life. Then I try to serve in my areas of responsibility. Right now I'm serving the young men with their Scouting efforts. I also am responsible for visiting three or four families each month in their homes where I try to take a gospel message that will uplift them and encourage their service at home and Church. The goal is to be a little better each day, a little closer to the Lord each day, a little more like Him each day.
