Hi I'm Spencer

Hello, I'm that friendly neighbor that you see every so often. I wave, you wave and we smile. I'll tell you more, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up with 5 brothers and 1 sister, I've always felt that I was a color slice of the bigger picture. Family and Christ's teachings gave me the light that I felt that I was apart of something more than just myself.  I graduated from college with a Biology degree. The school's motto was, "Enter to Learn, Go forth to Serve". Wanting to do more, help more and be more was again my destiny to be more than just myself. I joined the United States Peace Corps in 1999 and left on an unpredictable adventure to East Africa. Teaching Biology and Chemistry in a remote village near the Serengeti National Park had it's challanges. I tried to make a difference in every person's life that I met. Today my life's picture has continued to evolve. I live with my wife and 3 precious children. They are my everything. Life is still changing, but I hold on to that belief that I'm a part of something bigger than myself.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is the center of my life. When good things happen and I'm apart of it, I feel good. It's not only a feeling, but it's a way to live that respects everyone's opportunity to live and find out who they really are.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to live in way that would show my Father in Heaven that he can count on me. I want what he wants: true happiness for everyone. Life isn't easy and sometimes it's possible to feel like giving up or just giving in to that what we know is wrong. Life feels empty when you walk away from happiness. Happiness comes from a child's smile, a helping hand, and a sunlight of warmth. Find your happiness by helping other's find theirs. I'm determined to be the one that's never going to give up on life, no matter how cloudy life seems.
