Hi I'm Dillon Hunt

I am from the sunny state of Arizona. I am serving the most awesome mission ever in Louisiana. I play the piano. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and am so grateful for all the experiences and people that my Heavenly Father has given me. I live with the best family on earth! I am the middle child of three and love my two brothers, my mom, and my dad mucho! I was born and raised a Latter Day Saint! I know it, I live it, and I love it! I have completed one year of college at Arizona State University in chemistry. I am currently having the time of my life in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission Spanish speaking living with all the wonderful people of the south! I want to live my life to the fullest, doing my best and having fun along the way. I know that life is truly beautiful!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. From all the decisions I have made in my life, I know being a Mormon has brought me the most happiness and personal peace in my life. I remember during my one year in college as the time that I truly gained this testimony. I realized that I had a lot more independence and freewill. There are a lot of decisions that I made with this privilege that I am not necesarilly proud of. I felt the bitter consequences and knew that this was not what I wanted to be. I decided to do all I could to make this change. I began to pray more, to go to church more, and to read from the scriptures more. My life gradually changed and when I finished the last chapter in the book of Mormon, I sincerely asked my Heavenly Father if these things were true. I almost immediately felt a warmness come over me. I knew that this feeling was the Holy Ghost. I have never looked back since that feeling. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God. I know that because God loves us, He wants us to know the truth. He wants more than anything that we are happy in our lives. I invite those who are seeking this happiness to read the Book of Mormon. I know it has blessed my life so much and I know it can bring happiness and peace to anyone who reads it sincerely.

How I live my faith

When I think of living my faith, I first must develop it. Developing faith is a lot like learning to play the piano. First, you have to sign up for lessons. This may mean going to church or listening to the missionaries. Then, you have to practice. This means you have to do things more than once. You have to pray and listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Just like you press the keys on the piano, you have to act to develop faith. In addition, you must resist the temptation to bang your head against the keys. In other words, don't give up. Don't get frustrated or discouraged. Keep working at it and be humble and steadfast. Faith takes a lot of diligence and is much easier for when I am happy and positive. I am truly the most happy when I am out teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, serving my fellow brothers and sisters, and simply telling myself every morning "Man today is going to be the greatest day ever!" I follow the example that my Savior Jesus Christ set for me.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Dillon Hunt
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that as God has done before, he calls prophets on the Earth. Joseph Smith was called and chosen as the prophet to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
