Hi I'm Rosann Perry

I was raised in the mountains of Idaho where I enjoyed the blessings of a large family and the belief in my Savior Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin to many people. I spent 30 years of my life dedicated to the honorable occupation of raising children and supporting my husband as the sole provider of our home. Changes to health and circumstances encouraged me to further my education. I spent the next ten years earning university degrees and specialized certifications. I now work full time as a gifted specialist teacher. I am a life long learner who enjoys sharing my passion of learning with my students. I strive to encourage children to keep their sense of wonder. I teach children to question and to evaluate what they see, hear, and read. I seek to uncover individual gifts and talents and encouraging them to excel in academics and to become citizens of good character.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I want to be a member of good standing in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I want the blessing promised to me if I live the commandments of God. I want that peace that comes from my Savior. I was raised in a home that taught me the gospel, but after my father died when I had just turned 13. I needed to know: “Where was my father? Would I ever see my father again?” With these questions burning in my soul I turned to the scriptures. I ask God, just like the epistle of James told me, “any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God…” I received a burning testimony that God lives and answers prayers. I knew that I could see and be with my father again, and we could be together through-out all eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to live my FAITH by talking to my Heavenly Father every day and having faith my prayers will be answered. I spend time with my Heavenly Father by reading the scriptures and keeping Him in my thoughts and in my heart every day of the year. My FAITH is not just a Sunday habit. It the actions of waking up each morning and lying each night believing in the Good Shepherd and His Atonement. My motto of life was learned in primary as I sang the following lyrics, “Try to be like Him, Try, Try, Try. This is how I live my FAITH: I try to give my best all the time. I try to show charity and compassion. I try to be as Paul stated, “Ye were ensamples to all that believe…” When I fail, when I faulted, when I am discouraged, I count my many blessings name them one by one. I live my FAITH by relying on my Savior to lift me up, to give me the opportunity to repent, to give me peace, rest, and joy if not in this life then in the life hereafter.
