Hi I'm Christie

I'm a PR major at ASU, I love horses and running, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Orange County, CA, in a town about 10 minutes from Disneyland. I showed horses for much of my youth and played tennis, soccer and track in high school. I love surfing, snowboarding, running and anything active. Writing is my passion, so I chose to go to ASU to major in journalism (emphasis in PR). I am spontaneous and love to travel. I love my family more than anything and am a passionate Lakers/Packers fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and come from a big Mormon family. I was raised through the teachings of the gospel but relied on my Dad's testimony for most of my life. At age 15, my dad passed away from cancer and I was forced to start making my own decisions. I went to church on Sundays, but struggled with choosing good friends and living my life doing everything I should have been (reading scriptures, praying etc.). Once I moved away to school, I decided to change the way I was living and develop a testimony of my own. I found happiness in the gospel and came to know the things I had learned growing up to be true. My testimony means everything to me, as it's the foundation of the confidence and happiness I have grown to enjoy. I know that my Savior lives and that if I live my life according to His teachings, I'll get to be with my dad and the rest of my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my life according to what I know to be true. I work hard in everything I do and stay active in the church. Most of my close friends are non-members and I strive to be an example to them everyday. I love people of all faiths and backgrounds, and I love meeting new friends and sharing with them what I know to be true.
