Hi I'm Mariah

I am an athlete, singer, musician, and dancer. I am me. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love my piano. I spend hours a day playing it. I love writing and arranging songs, especially combining hymns. It creates a spirit that you cannot find anywhere else. I joined track in 4th grade and have been in it every year since. I am best at the hurdles and high jump, but I can run anything else. I also play volleyball. I also ballroom dance. My favorite dance are the Viennese Waltz. I have gone to public schools, charter schools and I have been homeschooled. My homeschooling group was called "Thomas Jefferson Education." I started homeschooling at the end of 8th grade till my junior year in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. My parents have strong testimony's, and for a while I was leaning on their testimony. But when I felt the spirit while I learned about lessons and principles of the gospel, I started growing my own testimony. And ever since then it's been growing every day, stronger and brighter. I take comfort in knowing that after this life on Earth, I will be able to be with God, family, friends and loved ones again. This life is not the end, because Jesus suffered the atonement and rose again. When I die, I want to hear "Well done, my good and faithful daughter." I know that God loves me. He cares about me and knows me personally. I have prayed and have had a confirmation that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I love Joseph Smith and know he was being guided by God in helping to bring the restored gospel back on the Earth. I know that prayers are listened to, and that I will not be alone when enduring a trial. I know Jesus Christ lives and I will never deny it, be ashamed of it or doubt it.

How I live my faith

I believe that everyone needs and deserves to be loved, so I love them. Everyone is a child of God. I try and share the gospel with those around me by being an example and caring about them. I try my best to live like Christ lived by serving, caring and sharing the gospel. I believe that God doesn't have us read and study people who we cannot become like. He gives us trials because he trusts us with them. He believes that we can withstand the hardships that come across our path. He is always there for us. I just live what I know to be true.
