Hi I'm Crystal

I am a stay at home wife and mom who loves to make bows and coupon shop when I get a spare second. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am marrried to a hunk of a man who I adore. We have 3 kiddos that keep us busy, happy and....humble. I have a great love for and interest in American History and studied it on college. I feel passionately about the freedoms our forefathers passed on to us. Due to this love, I have always been very involved in the democratic process from student government, to the school board and now helping at my children's schools in any way I can. My husband and I are in the process of opening a charter school in hopes of giving the children in our area a better chance of academic success. I am big on community involvement and am trying to pass that on to my children. I am blessed to be able to stay home with them and am trying to soak up every second of these years when they are little. In my spare time, I love to curl up with a good book, get in some exercise, and make bows for my girls. Confession, I am a little tight with my money and get quite the rush from a great coupon bargain.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me more happiness and peace than anything else ever could. I have been a member of the Mormon faith all my life and couldn't be more thankful for that blessing. My parents taught me the gospel as a child, but I couldn't rely on their beliefs I needed my own. Every time I have turned to my Heavenly Father in prayer to know the truthfulness about some part of this gospel he has answered with peaceful feelings or through someone else serving me or telling me exactly what I needed to hear. I know that God and His son, Jesus Christ are real and have more love for each of us than we can even understand. They want our happiness and have given us a plan to be happy by following our Savior and trusting in HIm.

How I live my faith

My family and I are far from perfect, but we try our best to live what we believe. We have family prayer every morning and evening and read a few verses from the scriptures each day. I have noticed that this few minutes together really makes a big difference in our day. I also serve the teenage girls, ages 12-18, in our area by putting on a week long camp each summer. We usually have about 130 young women in attendance. This camp is an opportunity for them to enjoy the beauty of nature, spend time and have fun with friends and leaders that they love, learn life saving skills, and focus on our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am the director the this camp and truly enjoy giving these girls a little reprieve from the world. My knowledge that there is a God who loves me and each of us is strengthened every bit as much as the girls with each year that I participate and I love it!
