Hi I'm Jill

I grew up in London (UK) and Las Vegas. I am a National Debate Champion. I am a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a very “red” personality. I always have some sort of a To Do list around me and I constantly take on large projects. Currently I am an American Government online instructor for a university. I am very fortunate that I have a job where I can be home with my baby boy. I am very detail oriented person and I channel this trait into my hobbies. I enjoy sewing and clothing pattern constriction. My husband and I enjoy spending time together playing new board games.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of the church when I was born, so I have grown up in the church. But, just because I grew up being surrounded by those who had testimonies of Christ, I had to develop my own beliefs. I have never had an angel speak to me or had an overwhelming manifestation from God that the church was true, but through my daily scripture study and prayer I have felt gentle promptings and warm feelings that have let me know that God and Christ live. In my life I feel an overwhelming peace that I am at the right place at the right time. Even though not everything is perfect all the time (I have my own fair share of stresses) I can always look to Christ for comfort and support. I know that as long as I keep Christ the center of my life, everything else will fall into place.

How I live my faith

My motto of late has been “Forward in Faith.” I try to stay positive and remember that the Lord is looking out for me. I have just decided that I am going to live by the principles I know to be true, do all that I possibility can to achieve my goals, and then let the Lord bless me. I try to keep a journal of all the blessings I recognize, and when I am feeling down I go back and reread my old entries. I am always overwhelmed by the Lord’s tender mercies.
