Hi I'm Diane

I'm a wife, a mother, and a tennis player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a loving family, with parents who taught and lived the principles of the Mormon church. I knew I wanted that blessing for my own family. I married the perfect man to help me attain that goal. My husband grew up in a family like mine. We share the same values and goals and I couldn't be happier. We have six amazing children who bring us so much joy. We are not a perfect family, but we love to be together and share in each others activities. I love to be active and prefer the outdoors. I love the beach, the mountains and our own backyard. I love to work in the yard and dream of having a mini farm one day. How cool would it be to go get eggs from your own chickens in your back yard? I am a tennis player and enjoy playing competitively, as well as with friends and family. I enjoy cooking, trying & sharing new recipes, photography, blogging, reading, playing tennis, boating, skiing, wake boarding, staying active, spending time with family and life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of wonderful great, great, grandparents and who set the example for me. They accepted the beliefs of the Mormon church back in the 1840's and my parents and grandparents have continued that tradition on to their children. I knew growing up that being at church on Sundays is where I was supposed to be. When I was about twelve, I started to feel The Spirit when I went to church and that is where my testimony started. My parents had always taught us about gospel principles, but more importantly, they set an example by being faithful and obedient. I am a Mormon because in a crazy world, it brings peace to my life. I know my husband and I, along with our children can live together forever, if we are obedient. We are truly blessed because of our Faith in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be obedient to the things I know are right. I enjoy serving the young women who are 12 & 13 in our congregation. I teach them a lesson each Sunday and learn so much from them each week. I visit 4 ladies in our congregation each month. I visit a sister who is 94 years old, who is amazing. She never misses church on Sunday, and is such a great example to me. I am blessed by visiting her. As a family we try to read our scriptures each day and say family prayer. When doing this, our family is more patient and kind towards one another. Each week we get together to sing, teach and play with each other. We love spending time together, and that strengens our relationship with each other. I volunteer at our children's schools and in the community. We try to be good neighbors and serve them when we see a need.
