Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a law student, a patent agent, a dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a B.S. in Applied Physics and I am currently in my 3rd year of law school. I am married to my best friend Jamie and we have 1-year-old son and a daughter due in December. We love watching movies together and exercising on our spin bikes. I love classic cars and I would love to spend time restoring one with my son someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that my Heavenly Father loves me and has blessed me to be able to find His Gospel. I believe this Gospel to be the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself so that mankind may be forgiven from their sins and transgressions. I believe that because of this sacrifice, Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind. I believe that He was resurrected and appeared to his Apostles and disciples as described in the Holy Bible. I believe that our Heavenly Father teaches his Gospel to His children through servants that He calls Prophets. I believe the Bible to be the Gospel as revealed by God through his prophets in ancient times. I believe that God continues to speak today through a modern-day, living prophet.

How I live my faith

I believe that the best way for me to live my faith is to serve others. At church, I live my faith by serving in various positions. I am currently serving as a supervisor to the various Sunday school classes at my church. At home I live my faith by trying my best to be a good dad and husband to my family. I have found that being with and serving my family brings me the greatest joy in life.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mormons regard the Bible as a Testament of our Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible was written by witnesses of God's work. These witnesses are known as prophets and apostles. Mormons believe that God speaks to His children through prophets and apostles. The writings of the prophets and apostles are Holy Scripture and should be regarded as the word of God. In addition to the words which God spoke through His prophets in the ancient middle east, Mormons believe that God continues to speak through modern day prophets. These prophets are also witnesses of God's work and Mormons believe their writings to also be the word of God. Examples of these additional writings can be found in the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and The Doctrine and Covenants. Together with the Bible, these books provide additional witnesses of the reality and divinity of Jesus Christ. They teach of His great love for us and provide us with guidance, which if followed, will support us through the difficult trials of life, and eventually help us return to live with our Heavenly Father.
