Hi I'm Sheri

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA , and have been a member of the LDS church (nick name Mormon) all my life.

About Me

I enlisted in the USMC at age 17 and spend many years living all over the United States and about 3 years in Okinawa, Japan. I have 7 awesome children, 5 wonderful grandchildren and 1grandchild on the way. Over the years I was able to obtain my BA and MA in psychology and have enjoyed a fulfilling career as a mother; and have had other rewarding experiences as a Marine, Social Worker, Deputy Warden and currently work with at-risk teens. The greatest joy in my life is my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and since I can remember I have always known the church to be true. It was not because I was told it was true, it was much deeper than that--it was based on the feelings I received over the years that testified to me the truthfulness of the principles I had been taught. I love my Heavenly Father with all my heart and I also love my Elder Brother and Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful that the gospel was restored to this earth, giving us the Priesthood Keys to provide a way back home to our Heavenly Fathers kingdom. I am so grateful to know my family is not only with me here on this earth; they will also be with me for all eternity. The LDS faith has given me the knowledge and understanding of who I am, where I came from and where I am going; along with the tools needed to endure to the end.

How I live my faith

My current church assignment is as a teacher for the 5 year olds. What an awesome privilege it is to work with these kids, they are so bright and spiritual. I have also had the opportunity to teach and serve the youth and adults in various church assignments. Along with being a teacher, I have the honor to visit 3 different sisters each month to ensure things are going well for them and to bring them a spiritual thought. All my church assignments have provided me with many wonderful opportunities of growth, learning and great joy.
