Hi I'm Shelli

I'm a Mormon. I was raised in the church in Colorado. I am a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling our two kids.

About Me

I am a Colorado native and love living here alongside the beautiful mountains and blue sky days! I am a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother of four. My favorite things to do are online photo books, traveling and spending time with family and friends. I homeschool our kids and love our time together learning and discovering new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a firm conviction with all of my heart and soul that this church is exactly what it says it is: The Church of Jesus Christ. It is His organization on the earth today, which includes our modern-day prophet, President Monson, and twelve apostles, as well as other priesthood leaders and members, who all serve Him for the purpose of bringing us each back into His presence someday. I was raised in the church, but by my teens, I fell away and experienced life without my religion for about 15 years. I have now been active again for the past 18 years and absolutely "cling" to the iron rod (gospel and its teachings) because I so love and need its guidance and direction. I testify of the incredible blessings that come from adhering to the truth that only the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides. Jesus Christ is absolutely the way and the light. He loves us each profoundly as individual brothers and sisters, and I believe He longs for us to reach out to Him so that He can help us along our paths in life and bless us abundantly.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a way of life for me. I love my religion! It gives me "my path" in life. I feel it teaches me how to walk the "higher road" in this huge world of ours, which results in many blessings and peace in my heart. This path includes all of the things that are important to me, such as how to live a virtuous life full of loving and serving others, being honest and true, building a successful and happy family, and a clear idea of where I am headed here on this earth and into the eternities. How I live my faith includes many daily prayers, family prayers, Family Home Evening on Monday nights with fun activities together, scripture study alone and as a family daily, attending church meetings on Sundays, volunteering in my calling at church with the Activity Day Girls program, fasting once a month, following the Word of Wisdom, paying my tithing faithfully, and doing my best to "walk my talk."
