Hi I'm Daniel

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I love to learn and think, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student, and I am studying to become an Engineer. I love to think and learn new things, especially about the world and how things work. I love to exercise and do things outdoors where I can appreciate the beauty of nature. I enjoy running, hiking, backpacking, bicycling, climbing, and many other outdoor, non-competitive sports. I am the youngest of four children, and I love my family. I have been called to serve a full time mission in Ghana, Cape Coast. I am anxious to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home where the gospel was very important. From childhood I have enjoyed the blessings of the church. My parents took all of the kids to church every Sunday where we learned about the gospel. Over time, I gained a testimony of the truth of the Book of Mormon and the restored gospel for myself. One moment that I can look back on as a time when my testimony was strengthened dramatically was when I spent a week backpacking with a group of members in my ward. I spent some time in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and felt very strongly that my Heavenly Father loves me. I sat alone for a long time and prayed to my Heavenly Father. I felt the spirit very strongly, and it testified that the Lord did in fact love me, and that the Gospel is true, and that the Book of Mormon was given to us by the Lord through his prophets so that we could know of the commandments. I know that I am happiest when I keep the commandments and show my love for God. I know that I am not perfect, but I love my Heavenly Father and I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can repent and return to live in their presence again.

How I live my faith

I am an active priesthood holder in my ward. I participate in the blessing and passing of the sacrament each week. I also have to opportunity to help teach the gospel doctrines class. I am very happy to be able to serve the Lord as a full time missionary, and I will soon be serving in Ghana. I look forward to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the African people, and learning and growing as I gain new experiences there. I study the scriptures and pray daily to continue my progression and learning. I am striving to learn more about Christ so that I can be more like him. I hope that I can be a good example to those around me in all of my daily activities.
