Hi I'm Renae

I'm a mormon :)

About Me

Life is amazing and looking back at the trials that life brings testifies to me that Heavenly Father has given us everything we need to succeed, even in the moment. The situation may not turn out like we think it should, but the experience is worth the effort. I love the "Good News" of Jesus Christ. I like being happy. Even when I think there isn't much to smile about, I find something. I like the simple things. Having a cookout with friends, sitting on the bank of the river looking at the stars, or playing with my nieces & nephews are some of the best times I've ever had. And I love to take road trips! Driving along, with the window down singing, being able to see the wonderful creations of the earth is a thrill :) Being an entreprenuer has allowed me to experience different ways to earn money. The two that I have enjoyed the most has been being an auctioneer and hauling heavy equipment throughout the continental the United States. Now I work as a book keeper for small businesses. Life truly is amazing and it's the people in my life that make the difference. I love my family and truly enjoy my friends. I like to shoot guns, work hard, be around kids and know that the choices I make today can bring me peace tomorrow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the principles taught answer my questions about why I am here, who I am, where I come from and what will happen when I die. I am a mormon because it fills in the gaps about how we can be families forever, not just married until we die and our children will always be ours. This is the only church on the face of the earth that can bless people by actual permission through priesthood authority from Christ himself.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by treating people like I would want to be treated, with respect and honesty. I don't use swear words when speaking. My clothing is modest so that when I am with someone, their attention is focused on the subject at hand. I want to look into their eyes and them into mine. I do my best to help people when I see they need help. And that can be anything from taking a meal into someones home to splitting firewood or giving a ride to a doctors appointment. I look for the good things that people do and I really enjoy letting them tell me how much they enjoyed it. My motto is: "Leave people better than you found them." So far, it's been the best measure to live by. When I can leave someone with a smile on their face, peace in their heart, or food in their belly, it's been a good day.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are sacred houses of the Lord where we can learn eternal truth. We make promises with Heavenly Father and in turn He gives us certain blessings that can only come through the authority of Jesus Christ. In the temple those people who have died without being baptized or ever hearing of Jesus Christ in this life, can have the opportunity to know and understand who Christ is and what He teaches. Also, a man and woman can be bound together, meaning married forever, for eternity, not just until "death do they part" and have their children bound to them as an eternal family. How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can ask Heavenly Father himself. If you really want to know, deep down in your heart, ask Him if it is true. He will tell you through the Holy Ghost. You may not hear a voice and you may not see a vision. The answer will usually come as a warm, peaceful feeling in your heart and mind. Study the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Don't just read the words, try to find the reason for the words, then, as you listen with your heart, sweet & peaceful feelings of inspiration will come. Show more Show less
