Hi I'm Margaret

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I love my family and spend as much time with them as I can. I didn't know there was anything better than being a Mother. Being a Grandmother is the BEST.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Methodist all of my life. One day I was sitting in church, alone, without any of my family with me. I started to wonder why I was there. The minister was reading his sermon as usual. He was making no sense to me. I realized then, what I believe I had been feeling for a very long time, that I was in the wrong place on Sunday. That was my last day in a Methodist church. That was July, 2005. I have worked with a Latter Day Saint in my office since 1998. One day, he came in and said that he and his family were not supposed to move to Idaho. He and his family had been planning this move for some time. Their desire to move was longer still. He found employment there, the school was set, and a place to live was just about there. He said he and his wife had gotten their answer, and they were not to move. I wanted to know who had given them an answer. They had desired this move for almost as many years as I had known him. Who would have told them they were not to move? He told me it was Heavenly Father. As I was amazed at such an answer I wanted to know more. I know that if you want to know more about something you must investigate it yourself. In July, 2005, I began investigating the church with Sister Missionaries and it wasn't until April, 2006 that my life really began to change. I was in the birthing room of my first grandson. I was in awe at this little masterpiece that graced us with his presence. It was that day that I decided when I returned home, I would tell the Sister Missionaries I wanted to be baptized one month from his birth date, which happened to be Mother's Day weekend. The day I was baptized, I actually felt the burdens I had been carrying for years disappear. My Savior atoned for my past mistakes and He took the weight from my shoulders. My life has only increased in richness as Heavenly Father continues to bless my life. I live to "lift where I stand" and pray that my family will one day see what I see in His gospel.

How I live my faith

I have the BEST calling in the church. I get to teach in Primary. The children I teach are the same age as I am in the Gospel. Seven years ago I was baptized a member of The Church, one month after my first grand child was born. Every Sunday I get to spend time teaching six and seven year olds about our Savior, Jesus Christ; though I am usually the student. It is wonderful to see how simple the Gospel really is through the eyes of a child. I also get to serve a week during the summer at Girls Camp. These 12 to 18 year old young women are some of the most loving, sweet spirits I have ever been priveliged to be among. They surround you with their goodness, and their genuine love for the Savior. The week is amazing.
