Hi I'm Arlene

I grew up on a farm. Learned to sew and made a Suit for myself that earned a Blue ribbon at the State Fair. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 11 children, I have 49 grand children, 2 great grandchildren and counting. I love to be outdoors Gardening, riding my Adult Tricycle or camping. I love the smell of food cooking over a open fire. I love sewing and have sewn 4 wedding dresses for 3 of my girls and one for a friend. I have made lots of costumes for my children in plays, shows etc. I am now into quilting. I cleaned homes for prominent TV news casters till I had to quit due to health reasons. I am also trying to do some Genealogy. So far it is quite fascinating.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but when I was a teenager, I began to have questions. How do we know this church is the right one? I briefly read about some other religions, and realized other churches only had pieces or parts of the same beliefs. I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored and has the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and someday, I hope to kneel at the saviors feet and thank him personally for his example and the atonement and resurrection. I know my 11 children, who also faithfully live the religion, are good citizens, because of the extra learning they received from the many wonderful programs of the church, that give a place for the youth to go that is wholesome and clean. I am glad I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have been a teacher for the children, young women, and presently teach in the women's organization of the church. I and a companion are assigned several other women to look after and to assist in their needs. We visit them monthly and give them a spiritual message. I have served 2 missions with my husband, which has been a joy and a delight. I also serve at the temple assisting others as they come to enjoy the blessings the temple has to offer. I love going to church each week. I receive such a spiritual lift by partaking of the sacrament, listening to talks and lessons that are given, and the words of the music. This all helps to carry me through the week to the next Sabbath Day. I try to be kind and helpful to my neighbors. Letting them know that we love and appreciate them.
