Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Colorado. I am an Orthodontist for the US Air Force. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Colorado. I have a big family of 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Growing up, I was involved with school sports, playing the piano and Scouting (Cub and Boy). I earned my Eagle Scout rank. After high school, I started university at BYU. I took a break from school to serve a two year mission for the LDS church. I served in the Moscow, Russia mission. After my mission, I finished my university education at BYU with a BS in Zoology. I got married and then started dental school. I joined the US Air Force while in dental school to help me pay tuition. When I graduated from dental school I began my active duty Air Force career. I have since gone back to residency training to become and orthodontist. I have been in the Air Force now for almost 10 years. We like being in the Air Force because of all the opportunities it affords us. My wife and I have 2 boys and we love to travel and spend time together.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormons so I grew up going to church every Sunday and living the principles that my parents taught me. I think even at a young age I could tell that the Mormon faith was special. As I grew older I had the correct morals instilled in me because of my parents and the teachings from the church. Nobody forced me to go to church, it was my choice. I could feel a special bond and spirit there. There were good people there. The town I grew up in didn't have many Mormons but it was never really hard for me to live my religion, as it were, because I just knew the principles I had been taught were true. I wanted to have a clean, wholesome life that would afford me endless opportunities. The Mormon church made that possible. After all these years, I am still an active member of the LDS church because I know the teachings are true and I experience all the time the joy that comes from living its principles..

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is not just about going to church on Sunday and then calling it quits. Being a Mormon is a lifelong commitment. What is nice about that commitment is that brings me and my family joy and peace. I am a Mormon all week long and I am not ashamed of telling anyone. I do take my family to church every Sunday but we also have a weekly family get together every Monday night, I take my son to Cub Scouts every week and we help others whenever we can. We just try to be good neighbors in our community. I personally, love Scouting and our church is a big supporter of the Boy Scouting program. i enjoy helping the boys out and now that my son is a Cub Scout we can do a lot of fun things together.
