Hi I'm Michael

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of six kids and I am glad that's the case. I can't imagine having to be a younger sibling to someone like me, but they don't seem to mind. I have great parents and they're some of my favorite people in the world. I'm basically from the stereotypical Mormon family, both of my parents have 7 siblings and I have so many cousins I've lost count. But I wouldn't trade my family for anything. I'm a senior in high school now, and I can't believe how fast it's gone by. I've enjoyed it immensely, especially playing for the tennis team and running cross-country. High school has been a fun blur, and I'm excited and nervous to see what college will bring before I leave for my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've experienced the truth of the Lord's teachings. I can see how I've been blessed for following His commandments, and I can feel the difference in my spirit when I live as I should and when I make mistakes. I also love this gospel because it teaches progression and hope. I'm always reminded of how I can become better and strive to live more as Christ would. I also feel peace knowing I can be forgiven of sins and live with my family for eternity after we pass out of this life. And to me, everything in this Church follows the precedents the Lord has set before, from a humble boy becoming a prophet to the ordinances we perform each Sunday. This is God's church restored on the Earth.

How I live my faith

One of the major ways I live my faith is by attending seminary. Seminary is one of my favorite hours in the school day. Being able to walk away from the confusion of high school and into a place where I can feel the Spirit is a great blessing. I also try to be an example to others in the way I act and speak, so that those who know I'm Mormon will have a good impression of the Church. And I also try to live the Lord's commandments when others aren't around, because how we act when we think no one's watching is an indication of our true character.
