Hi I'm Bryce

I'm a missionary, I'm a brother, I enjoy running and playing the piano, and most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of six in my family. I am currently serving a mission to Finland. I enjoy hiking, biking, and camping. I ran track in high school and enjoy running recreationally now. I also play piano. After my mission, I plan on studying medicine.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a member of the LDS church, but have come to know of its truth for myself. I prayed with intent and asked God to know the truth of the Book of Mormon. As I did, I felt an overwhelming feeling from Him. The only way I can describe it is one of warmth and peace. I now know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true. I am glad to be able to have the opportunity each week to go to church and renew my commitment to follow the Savior. One way I do this is through taking the sacrament, which cleanses me from my mistakes and helps me to not feel guilt. It is also an outward sign of my recommitment to live a better life. Along with the Bible, the Book of Mormon contains instruction on how to return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know that through Joseph Smith Christ's church was restored to the earth, but even more important than Joseph Smith is our Savior, Jesus Christ. He died for us, and we will all live again. I also know that we can see and be with our families again after death. I love listening to our prophet today, and I'm thankful that we are able to be guided by modern revelation through him.

How I live my faith

The teachings of this church bring me so much happiness, and I love to share them with others. As a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have the privilege of helping others come to Christ and learn of Him. I attend church each week and further my relationship with Christ as I learn how to become a better person by following His example. I live my faith each day as I not only try to improve myself, but as I invite others to do so as well. I have seen the joy that others begin to have in their lives as they come closer to Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christian. One of our core beliefs is in, "God the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost" (Articles of Faith 1:1) The official title of the Mormon Church is, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." We acknowledge Christ as the head of the church, as stated in our name. We do not worship Joseph Smith, but we think that he was a great man and a prophet that did a lot for the benefit of humankind on Earth. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The temple is the most sacred place on Earth. In order to keep it sacred, people must be clean spiritually. If a member of the church isn't clean they aren't allowed inside. Everyone can have the opportunity of coming inside the temple, they just have to live the way that the Lord has set. What happens inside the temple is sacred, not "secretive." Inside of temples families are sealed together for eternity, people make sacred promises with God, and those same opportunities are given to others who didn't have the chance in life.
