Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I am a mother of eight children. I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a loving family with three wonderful brothers. Our parents were a great example of what supportive and caring parents should be. I was raised in the Mormon church and gained my own testimony of it's truthfulness. I attended Brigham Young University where I met my future husband who has been a great support to me throughout my life. We were married 46 years ago and have been blessed with 8 terrific children and at the present, 35 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Although raising 8 children can have it's "bumps in the road", those trials have forged each of us closer to our Father in Heaven. When I can find a spare moment, I love to read, learn, cook, sew, crochet & organize just about anything. I do love animals, even though at the present I do not own any. Someday (perhaps in the next life) I would like to have my own horse again.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have gained my own testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and loves me. Because of Him, I can repent and work to improve myself to be worthy someday to go back into the presence of my Father-in-Heaven. I have complete faith that I can pray to my Heavenly Father and he will hear and answer my prayers. He always has, I know he always will. In this tumultuous world it is a great comfort to me knowing that He is close by and is aware of our daily activities.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ is one of service. It is by serving others, we grow to love them. We also find great satisfaction & peace in our hearts as we serve. As a mother, you find yourself serving others almost all day long. No wonder we love our children so much! I have taught the nursery age children, youth, cubscouts, young women as well as the women of our church. By teaching I learn. I have also served in the presidencies of the youth and women"s organizations where I have learned leadership and organizational skills. By attending church meetings weekly as well as studying my scriptures I have found the answers to "where I came from, why I am here & where will I go when I leave this life".
