Hi I'm Braden Ellis

I grew up in Utah. I run marathons. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of the starving college students trying to survive law school. So far I'm doing ok, and I'm loving life. In order to maintain my sanity, which school is constantly attacking, I train for marathons, waterski when possible, and try to keep my aging car up an running. I love being outside, and after long days in the classroom I do pretty much whatever I can to take my mind off of school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be raised by parents that understood God's plan for each of us. Of course they wanted the best for each of their kids. However, they also understood that a key part of learning how to live my own life was to make my own decisions, and live with the consequences. God loves us, and wants us to receive all of his blessings, but he also wants us to understand the blessings we receive are predicated on our own obedience. I have grown to understand that when we live the commandments, we are blessed. It's just about as simple as it gets. It's not always easy to do so, but I have learned that it is always worth it. Keeping myself worthy of God's blessings is the most important thing I can do with my life, for without His guidance and blessings, I'm lost.

How I live my faith

I help organize activities for the young single adults in the area. We try to create an atmosphere were busy young single adults have an opportunity to get together with people that share the same value. The most important thing I do to live my faith on a daily basis is read my scriptures, help those around me in whatever way I can, and continue striving to do what I'm supposed to be doing.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Braden Ellis
As a missionary in Brazil it was simple. I loved to share the message of God's love for all of us. That His love is never ending, and that He wants all of us to be happy. I would share that God calls prophets to guide us and direct us in our days, and that He will continue guide us. Show more Show less
