Hi I'm My name is Sara.

I am a pediatric nurse, a mother of five and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like almost everyone, I am a busy, busy mom. I am raising 4 children at home, working with the youth of my church and working part time at a children's hopsital in Phoenix. Some of my favorite things to do are spending time on the beach wathing my kids play in the sand or down hill skiing with my family in the mountains. Growing up in Colorado, I love being in the great outdoors. Hiking, biking and fishing just to name a few. Also, I have a strong desire to help those who are less fortunate. A few years ago I had the opportunity to travel with some freinds to Ethiopia and visist a few small villages in need. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to the time that I can enjoy serving with my husband in this capacity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I grew up in a small town in Colorado where there were very few members of the LDS faith. I had to stand up for what I believed in which forced me at an early age to learn what my religion was really about. I have had many trials in my life, in which case I have grown closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father. One very important lesson I learned, is that we are never alone. Our Heavenly Father and Savior are always there waiting for us to ask for help. At these moments when I was down and full of despair, I reached out to him and that is when I knew without a doubt that I am loved and I have a purpose. Without this knowledge I was lost and wondering searching for something better. Now, I know who I am and what I stand for. I know that I have a purpose that is great. And most importantly, no matter how hard things become I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and is waiting to pick me up when I am down.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving as the Young Women Laural advisor. This is great and busy calling where I am able to work with the 16 to 18 year old girls my ward. I love this calling because I love to work with the youth. I am fortunate because we have such great girls to work with. They are busy with school and extra curricular activities and yet we keep them busy with church related activieties as well. Every Wednesday night the youth meet together and have activites. These activities are centered around service and unity all mixed in with fun. Lets face it, having fun is very important. Every year we meet up at a girls camp where more team building and spiritual lessons are taught. After 5 days of team building and spiritual highs, the girls come home uplifed and eager to take on the challenges of life. I have searved as a leader and the camp nurse while at these summer camps. I also help plan their Wednesday activities and teach gospel lessons on Sundays. This is a busy, but very rewarding calling and I love it!
