Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I love playing basketball, football, snowboarding, and playing guitar. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love spending time with my wife, watching movies, playing sports, and playing guitar. I am currently a student and plan to become a physical therapist. I have 5 older brothers and 3 older sisters, so I'm the youngest of nine. I work during the summers when I'm not attending school as a truck driver for the family business. I like to try pretty much any new sport and am almost always up for a game of pretty much anything from chess to basketball to video games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and never really questioned whether or not it was true as I grew up. My parents brought me to church every week and I liked it, but didn't really know why it was so important until later in my life. While I was serving as a missionary in Mexico City, I really learned why I want Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in my life. I watched the blessings of the Gospel change the lives of those around me and probably more than them, I watched it change me. That was the time in my life when I really knelt down and prayed to our Father in Heaven if this church was true. The feeling of peace that came over me was a testimony that I have never forgotten and never will forget. I know that God answers prayers by those feelings which are a manifestation of the Spirit. Along with that testimony, just the blessings of peace and love that the gospel brings into families lets me know that its true. There are many reasons why I belong to the church, like the friendliness of the members, the peace I feel when I go, the blessings of the temple, and many other things, but the knowledge I received through prayer is truly the foundation of my testimony that God lives, and loves each and every one of us. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and if we let Him, He will lead us back to God's presence.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by trying to be a good example to those around me. I look for opportunities to serve those around me like Christ served those around Him. I'm also a ward missionary--which means I try and share the gospel, and help those around me share the gospel, with people that haven't heard of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
