Hi I'm Milan

I grew up in Indiana and Colorado. I'm a new husband and homeowner and just started my career as an accountant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I consider myself an ordinary guy. I graduated from college a few years ago, with a degree in accounting. I met and married my wife while at college and we have since purchased a home in Colorado. We do not have any kids yet but are looking forward to the challenge. My job as an auditor keeps me busy but I enjoy the challenging environment and love working with great people. I enjoy the outdoors and try to get outside to enjoy the weather whenever I can. I like following my favorite teams in a number of sports, mostly college football and basketball, and the NFL. I frequently work on my house and in my yard, and find great reward in figuring out how to fix things myself. I am a big music fan and I own a large music collection. I listen to several genres, my favorites being modern and alternative rock. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wife and taking a break from busy life whenever I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have found that it is the best way to live. The happiest times in my life are those in which I have most closely followed the teachings of the church. Being a rational, logical thinker, I naturally strive to know the truth. I have found answers to the most important questions by being a member of the Mormon faith. Knowing the answers to questions such as, 'Why am I here on Earth?', 'Where did I come from?', and 'Where am I going?' gives great perspective and purpose to my life. Also, I love that the Mormon faith is not just a weekly or monthly meeting, but rather an ongoing lifestyle and commitment. This helps me to consistently reflect on what's most important and how I'm doing in my progression as a person. It's no secret that Mormons strive to live a very high standard, but I know I wouldn't be the person I am today without having my sights set on such high standards. Being a Mormon has stretched me as a person and has allowed me to grow and become closer to achieving my potential.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities as a member of the Mormon faith. Currently, I serve as a secretary to the president of a group of about 40 men within my local church unit. My responsibilities include communicating important information to the group, setting up individual appointments, and collecting information from individuals and reporting it to unit leaders. I also have an assignment to perform semi-annual audits of other church units around my area, to ensure church funds are being handled appropriately and that procedures are being properly followed. Additionally, I am assigned to keep in touch with a few families within my local unit and visit them monthly. The purpose of this assignment is to be able to communicate any temporal or spiritual needs to church leaders that are in a position to provide assistance and to simply maintain a family-like bond between the church members within the area.
