Hi I'm Catriel

I've grown up in the church and loved every bit of it. It blesses my life in so many ways and I hope it will bless yours too.

About Me

Well, first things first, I am a teenager. I do what normal teens do. I read, listen to music (NOT rap---I don't like it), I watch movies, and I love my family and friends more than anything. In addition to all of those things, I love the Church. You don't know how excited I get when I go to Mutual (youth activity night) every Tuesday with my Young Women's class. We have fun and we learn along the way. Some people might disagree with me about the learning part, but really, I think in order to have fun, you have to make it fun for yourself. It's one of the many joys that I think everyone deserves.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? Well, I will you tell why. First of all, I was born a member---I have lived my entire life as a Mormon. I don't know any better way to live. Second, as I got older, I understood what this church means to me and my fellow members. When you walk into the church building, you feel like all your worries and stresses are gone. The silence during the services helps you focus. Sooner or later your heart fills with a certain joy that can make you happy even in the most troublesome times. That certain joy is God telling you that everything will be all right, He is always there and that He loves you no matter what you do. Third, being a Mormon gives me insight into many things going on in our world today. For instance, modesty. My view on this is there is more to me than my body and so I wear modest clothing. This way I can be around people and they will not be uncomfortable. I know I'm making the right choice. I'm so glad i have the church to guide me away from the stuff that would cause me trouble. Why I am a Mormon? Because it gives me strength, it shows me truth, and it surrounds me with love. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday, I participate in all the youth activities and encourage people to bring friends who aren't members. I don't swear, I don't make fun of people just because of the way they look. I accept everyone for who they really are.
