Hi I'm Craig

I am living my dream of being a chiropractic doctor and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was a young teenager, I suffered from chronic headaches that never went away. After 3 years of medical exams, treatments, injections, x-rays, MRIs, and surgeries, my headaches only continued to get worse. After a referral from my friend, my mom took me to see a chiropractor. Due to the nature of my headaches, this treatment resolved my symptoms of headaches forever after. After growing up and studying for 8+ years in the universities, I became a chiropractic physician myself. Now I love helping other people overcome their pain and injuries just as I experienced in my own young life. Although my job is extremely fulfilling, my life would not be truly fulfilled without my little family. My dream of becoming a doctor was always second to becoming a husband and father. Before I graduated from college, I was blessed enough to marry my best friend. We now have 2 boys and one on the way. There is nothing in the world or in a job that can beat the love and joy I feel when my sons run into my arms every day when I come home from work. Now, doing things I love like playing tennis, building sand castles, watching movies, water skiing and camping can all be done with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because I choose to follow Jesus Christ. I have been to dozens of different churches. I understand how confusing it can be to know where you belong. I know how much every church varies, from the level in energy, the kind of music played, location, the type of people attending, preaching abilities of the pastor, etc. To me the most important thing about finding the right church had to do with what was being taught. Beyond all the music or activities, did the church teach the doctrine that Jesus taught in the Bible? I found that to be the most important thing in finding where the true church (if any) was found. It got complicated because all the Christian churches taught from the Bible. But somehow they all taught different things from the Bible. So I thought about what the Bible taught about Jesus' church. It talked about prophets and apostles. It talked about baptism by immersion. It talked about Priesthood and members of the church giving the Holy Ghost to other baptized members (called saints in the Bible). It talked about doctrine like resurrection, love, forgiveness, missionary work, etc. I knew the Bible preached "one Lord, one faith, one baptism." He didn't accept multiple "ways" to heaven then, I doubted he accepted multiple churches now a days. After all my studies, I only found one church that had a prophet and 12 apostles. One church that claimed true Priesthood authority (stemming from the original apostles). One church that preached baptism, the Holy Ghost and ALL doctrine taught from Jesus Christ found in the Bible. Ironically I found it in the church named The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was always right there in front of me - I just didn't know to look. Knowing where you came from, why you are here, and where you are going is priceless knowledge. I am so grateful that God has given us the answers. The hardest part for most people is knowing how to find it. I invite you to look.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis. I don't just think about my faith on Sundays or on Easter. It's a part of my life. One of the greatest blessings of my faith is the opportunity that I have had to serve. I have been blessed to serve the community and church members in various ways for many years. Currently I serve by teaching Sunday school for one hour every Sunday to the 12 and 13 year olds in my area/congregation. It is so exciting to share with them the scriptures and discuss how to apply these old stories and teachings into real life. They have so much energy and curiosity - it's contagious! The best part of this service is that I get to teach side by side with my wife. We enjoy preparing the lessons and being able to discuss the principles and teachings with one another during the week. It is so refreshing to be able to speak of spiritual concepts in the home. I guess the best of part of having the gospel and church with you on a daily basis - is that it changes your daily life! Everything you do becomes worthwhile and with a purpose (even mowing the lawn, changing diapers, and paying bills)! It's nice to know your daily life is part of a larger plan all designed for one purpose.
